I have just received an update for the Iconia A500 System Updater. I am guessing this is a pre-cursor to the ICS ( Ice Cream Sandwich ) update we are expecting.
You will find this small update by going to ‘Google Play’ it should come up as an update it did for me along with a whole batch of other updates.
The system updater is the application that will find any OS updates and kick of the install.
Google Play is the replacement for ‘Google Market’ Just look for the White Icon ‘Play’.
I have tried to see if ICS downloaded after installing this update but no luck maybe in a few hours time?

I think I got that update a few weeks ago. I just got the ICS update on my phone a week or so ago, and Acer is generally a little slower than everyone else. My guess is late April like they said, but it could be early May.
I have auto update for my A500 and it on most days but the update only appeared just before I posted. Maybe the ‘Play Store’ presents updates based on geographical location? Anyway thanks for your comment Marc.
